Ensure all government, nonprofit agencies and corporate entities require certified professionals to provide services for individuals who are blind or have low vision.
Develop a strategic plan in collaboration with other organizations in the field to identify key barriers to professional and community success and eliminate those obstacles so there are "no limits" for individuals who are blind or have low vision.
Meet the increasing demand for services by developing an awareness campaign to attract more individuals into the blindness/low vision specialist field.
Engage community colleges, colleges and universities to establish more professional bachelor's degree programs and develop associate degree programs for specialist assistants in the blindness/low vision field.
Maintain a portfolio of online, on-demand educational opportunities for the professionals who provide services for individuals who are blind or have low vision to ensure these professionals use evidence-based best practices and remain on the cutting edge of knowledge in their field.
